Filmmaking is an expensive endeavor, but we made it through production with $10,000. This sounds like a lot, but when you consider feeding the entire cast and crew for a month, transportation, art department, marketing, post production, location fees, etc. it added up quickly and this is pennies compared to Hollywood films. How were we able to do it? Since we're students at Biola University, we have access to state of the art gear and sound stages for free and have connections to venues around LA and Orange counties that post-graduate filmmakers wouldn't have. This DIY strategy is allowing us to do things uniquely efficiently and put every penny we raise to exponentially enhance the way we tell our story. But, we have a long way to go and need to raise $3,000 to get through post production and send it to festivals!

January-July, 2018

After months writing and revising the script, we officially began pre-production at the beginning of 2018. During this time we assembled our crew, formed a detailed breakdown and shooting schedule, built a full apartment set in Biola's Studio A, found locations, casted, and planned every minuscule detail so production ran smoothly.

August 6-26, 2018

During the month of August we filmed the majority of the script. We spent a full week in an apartment set and two weeks on location in the mountains, on the beach, and around LA and Orange Counties.

Our 20+ crew covered every position just like a professional film crew and our talented DP shot on a pair of RED cameras

September 2018 - April 2019

While we were in principal photography, our lead editor was on set as our digital information technician so he was able to properly sort all 14 TB of footage and start the edit.

We’re currently in post-production and are aiming for a picture lock by Christmas.

In 2019 our sound team will really kick into gear working on foley, FX, and mixing, our VFX team will finalize their shots, we'll begin color grading, conduct ADR, and our composers will score the piece as we ramp up marketing and move closer to release.

April 2019 - 2020

Once the film is complete we'll host a screening for cast, crew, and supporters. Then it will move on to the festival circuit for 2019-2020 and then on to distribution! It will eventually be available on services like Amazon Prime, but if you want to see it sooner, be sure to support our Indiegogo campaign!
